The sixteenth Konstrundan in Finland will be held during the first weekend in September, Sat–Sun 2–3.9. Participating creative artists will open their ateliers and studios to the public.
The aim of Konstrundan is to increase awareness of domestic contemporary art, arts, crafts, and design. Konstrundan 2022 had 432 artists participating across the country and made a record in visitors, with over 28,000 visits during the weekend!
As a participant, you will benefit from national visibility, new contacts, and an opportunity for direct sales and, above all, Konstrundan generates many meetings with people interested in art. It is especially important at a time when activities have been limited due to the corona pandemic. Especially now after the pandemic it is lovely to be able to meet and greet again.
”Art enhances our wellbeing and can offer us joy and comfort. In these times of worry and uncertainty, art also provides us the means to process our emotions. The artists of this country deserve high recognition for the work they do. Konstrundan makes it possible to visit their working spaces and to have conversations about art. During the visits you can also directly support the artists by buying their work directly from them,” Project Manager Martina Lindberg emphasizes.
