Interviews

Each year, Konstrundan’s regional contact persons interview one artist from their region. Konstrundan selects participants from different regions who represent a broad range of art forms. The interviews are published on the Konstrundan website.

Satakunta: Tarmo Thorström

Becoming an artist was kind of an awakening for Tarmo Thorström. It started with his discovery of a technique, lacemaking, which was interesting but the end product wasn´t. Later, he realized that this was the medium through which he could express himself. He found a channel to speak that wasn't verbal and that's how it took off. Read more »

The Åland Islands: Christoffer Relander

Studio Christoffer Relander is located in a former industrial building in northern Mariehamn. Up a flight of stairs to a loading dock and around the corner, there is a door. Go inside and head up another flight of stairs and you'll enter Christoffer's world. It's like being transported to another place, the interior feels urban and the atmosphere is creative.
