The name Hub Feenix comes from the word "hub", which means a cohesive place where people work together and where things happen, and the symbolism of Feenix is that the business of the place rises from the ashes of an old abandoned hospital like the phoenix bird.

Hub Feenix is a 15,000 m2 cultural and well-being center in Mjölbolsta, founded in 2020. Raisa Kaipainen and Torsten Ruger bought the building that previously functioned as an old lung sanatorium and later also as a hospital. They saw great potential in the impressive building and immediately saw what the place could offer to many people and founded Hub Feenix. It was a very brave act and the center now functions as a non-profit cultural center run by a cooperative. The area is wonderful, in the middle of nature and the house has wonderful and inspiring spaces where there are fine wall paintings.

The art and wellness center has about 10 people running the cooperative's operations and there are about 10-15 volunteers from around the world. The building has various activities, there are offices, study rooms, course and event rooms, yoga room, conference and seminar rooms. In Hub Feenix, you can rent a workplace as an artist and writing retreats, a golf club and boxing training have been organized in the building. There is also an eco hairdressing salon and cafe in the building, and there are also various treatment facilities. Hub Feenix is a large cultural center.

Artists in Hub Feenix rent workspaces and work independently. Hanna Holma tells that there is a shared kitchen, wonderful balconies and terraces where you can take breaks and there are always people up for a chat in the house and it is wonderful when you can talk about artistic work with other artists. You are never alone, Hanna laughs. Hub Feenix also has Artist in Residence activity since the beginning of the year. At the moment here works e.g. a children's book author, a media artist who builds artificial intelligence systems that tell jokes. The house is full of inspiration and creativity. In addition to working with art, you can go to the nearby beach to swim, take a walk in the forest or greet the house's horses and sheep out on the yard. During Konstrundan, visitors get to experience this wonderful whole.

During the Konstrundan weekend, visitors get to experience all the enormously beautiful spaces and see what is in the building. The cafe is open and interesting things happen in the artists' studios. It takes almost an hour or more to experience Hub Feenix and all the artists here.
