Information about the artist / the group

I am a 55-year-old visual artist, FM from my previous education and carpenter-entrepreneur. Since I was a child, I have been doing crafts and fine arts, they are my way of being in this world. The ideas for my works often come from the borders of sleep and wakefulness, from dream images, different shapes and colors that I see at the time. On the other hand, some detail in the environment might catch my attention and start the process. When an idea turns into a project, I still don't know exactly where it will lead. I'll let the process go. I like to change techniques and try new ones. For me, art is a constant exploration of different methods, internal and external reality, different impressions and moods.

Program during Konstrundan

In my studio, my art is on display and for sale, from drawings to graphic arts and paintings, and from textile works to ceramics and wood sculptures. I organize work shows in engraving woodcuts and printing by hand. Visitors can try out the printing of a small woodcut and can claim the work for themselves if they wish. In addition, visitors can watch me working on the paintings and sculptures that will be made for the autumn exhibitions.

Driving directions

My studio is located 1.3 kilometers from Kerava railway station. If you come on foot, walk north of the track, i.e. in the direction of the train, on the left side of the track until you reach Kurkelankatu. Continue on the footpath on the left side of the street, Sieponpolku. The path turns to the left and then gently to the right. When the path ends, you come to Kajavankatu. Turn left, house 5 B is at the end of the street on the right. You can also take bus no. 976 from Kerava station, platform 11. Travel four stops and get off at the Kurkela stop, which is about 200 m to the house. Walk in the direction of the bus and turn left to Kajavankatu.
