Information about the artist / the group

I'm Arita, the designer, artist and creator of CarniWear. I have worked as a graphic designer for a long time and sewed almost all the time. A couple of years ago, I started thinking about what I would become when I grow up.

People around me say that I still haven't grown up, but I've finally figured out where my passion lies. It's wearable art!

When I make wearable art, I can combine my graphic design and sewing skills, and create my art as I think it should be created. I want it to be made up of different fabrics and other interesting materials, to be a bit whimsical, very unique and full of beautiful colors, with a dash of 3D as an added spice! More is more!

Up-cycling is also very important to me and that's why almost 90% of all the materials I use are up-cycled.

Program during Konstrundan

I have an exhibition of my wearable art in my studio. There are several works on display, and most of them are also available for purchase.

The visitor also has the opportunity to order a completely unique wearable work of art.

I myself will be there during the entire event, and I will be happy to talk about my art and my working methods.

Driving directions

The old chocolate factory of Hellas/Leaf; Stair B1, the studio is located on the second floor, follow the Taidepukimo CarniWear signs.
There are parking spaces in the yard, and more can be found in the Leaf Areena parking area. Bus number 1 (port-market place-airport) runs right next to this and the stop for both directions is right there.
