Information about the artist / the group

My name is Catarina Johansson- Katyayani and I was born in 1977 in Finland. I work with visual arts and music. Art in all its forms has been a part of my life since I was little. A pen in my hand and a piece of paper on the table make me create something spontaneous. I like collaborating with other artists. For several years, dance artist Susanne Montag-Wärnå has been interpreting dance in my compositions and visual art.

My first paintings were exhibited in my hometown of Turku in the 1990s. For me, humor is important. When life can feel difficult, it's good to see a glimpse of comedy in everyday life. I hope to touch the audience through my art. Create an experience for all senses.

Program during Konstrundan

The art exhibition and release "Next step" will be seen in the Ekenäs trainstation building at the 2024 Konstrundan event from 10 am to 5 pm. On Saturday and Sunday also at 11 am and 2 pm Katyayani Live Music and Susanne Montag-wärnå's dance interpreter. The building houses Café Schjerfbeck and delicacies and some art products for sale.
