Information about the artist / the group

Jarkko Räsänen is a Finnish media artist known for his glitchy photo and video art, which he usually creates through programming. Räsänen nowadays also works with sound art. His work is included in the collections of Kiasma, the National Art Board, Hämeenlinna Art Museum, HUSLAB and Francisco Carolinum, among others.

Program during Konstrundan

Jan-Erik Andersson's art installation Life on a Leaf is an artist residence, but also a visitor attraction, event and meeting space. During the Konstrundan we can have an open house, and Jan-Erik Andersson could possibly tell us about the house and its details. Jarkko Räsänen, the house's artist-in-residence for 2025, could talk about his work.

Driving directions

The house can be reached from Turku city center by buses 51 and 53 - as well as by other buses that stop in Hirvensalo at 1.4 km walking distance. By bike, the distance from the center is about 6 km. There is space for only a couple of cars in the yard.
