Information about the artist / the group

I look forward to having you visit my studio!
I believe in being brave even if it's scary. Dare to listen to the winds that turn and dare to change the path in our life when the time is right. After more than 20 years in the training industry (including as founder and manager of a large training facility) and as a yoga teacher, a year ago I decided to take the plunge and start fulfilling a dream. The dream of creating beauty.

The pottery, the clay is my tool or the question is if maybe I am its tool...!? In my creation, I move in the borderland between utility ceramics and pure art. I manufacture on a small scale. No product is exactly the same, but my goal is to create unique items that each contain their own feeling. A feeling that makes you happy when you hold it in your hands.

Program during Konstrundan

During the art tour, you can visit me in my studio where all my creative work takes place. In my work I am extremely inspired by nature, by the pure and sometimes a little playfully elegant. The Japanese way of expression and the Fibonacci sequence are recurrent in my work. Just come and have a look and enjoy. Possibility of purchase is available on site. If you are also interested in strolling in our garden during the visit, you are welcome to do so.

Driving directions

The studio is located in a Hilda Hongell house in central Mariehamn. Walking distance from the two marinas is each about 10 minutes or seven minutes from the center. If you come by car, there are a couple of parking spaces on the farm or parking on the side streets. The entrance has a sign well shown from the sidewalk.
